Where do the tours take place? That depends on where your roots are. Tours are offered anywhere in Québec City, Lévis, Île-d’Orléans, Côte de Beaupré, Trois-Rivières, Rivière-du-Loup and the area of Portneuf.
When do the tours take place? Year-round! Simply check the Tours Accolade website for availability.
How long does the tour last? A duration of 3 hours is recommended for most walking tours in Québec City and Lévis.
Can I get a genealogy report or chart based on your research? Depending on your budget, we can add our standard French-Canadian paternal or maternal line service, where we research a specific branch of your tree, going from one of your French-Canadian parents all the way to the first European ancestor to come to New France or Québec carrying their family surname. The patrilineal or matrilineal ascending line is presented in a detailed report format along with full source citations for baptisms, marriages and burials. It also includes a mini-biography on the European ancestor. See more details on this service and report examples here. You’ve already produced a genealogy report for me. Can that information be used for a tour? Yes! Once your tour is booked, simply let Tours Accolade know that we’ve already done family history research for you. We’ll take care of the rest.
